I own two propagators a Double full sized Propagator & a Garland 7 but without doubt the most used is the Garland 7 from February onwards its in constant use. The normal propagator is great for pots and large numbers of seeds in full and half trays seed trays but The Garland 7 is great for planting several different types of seeds at the same time as the seeds germinate you can vent the seeds that need to be vented and prickout seedling without disturbing the seeds that have not yet germinated. its cheap to run I wont do the figures but It barely makes any difference to your electricity bill. My advice would be to buy a spare pack of Quarter trays (Ferndale Lodge sale them as 5 and 10 packs) and buy a plastic trough drip tray( those long rectangular drip trays that you put under plastic terracotta troughs) once the seeds have germinated you can transfer the trays to the drip tray to carry on growing then you can put another tray of seeds onto the propagator whatever you do do not break the transparent Lids from experience I found it near impossible to find individual replacements I eventually bought a pack of 7 replacements so I now have spares - the only other downside is Garlands email support unless its a sales request its unlikely you will get a response
